What are the SAT requirements for Harvard?

Hey y'all, I've been grinding for that dream of mine to get into Harvard. Just wondering if anyone knows what their SAT score requirements are? Is there a minimum score they usually look for?

Harvard University, like many other highly selective schools, doesn't have a strict "minimum" SAT score. Instead, they publish the 25th - 75th percentile SAT scores of admitted students. The most recent data indicates that these scores range from about 1500 to 1580 out of a maximum of 1600.

However, understand that these ranges are only a part of the overall picture. The Harvard admissions committee doesn't only consider a candidate's SAT scores. Even if you score within the upper quartile of this range, admission is not guaranteed. They take a more holistic approach, evaluating your academic performance, essays, recommendations, extracurricular involvement, and other components of your application.

Additionally, note that for the 2024-2025 application cycle, Harvard has reinstated its standardized test requirement, so all applicants need to submit either an SAT or ACT score.

Finally, please remember that the SAT went fully digital in spring 2024. It has slightly different structure and timing as compared to its past versions.

Best of luck with your SAT preparation and your Harvard application!
