Hey guys, I'm busting my brain trying to gauge how hard it'll be for me to get into the University of Denver. I haven't found a clear-cut resource to tell me their acceptance rate or average GPA. Anyone has those details or something else that could help? Thanks peeps.
The University of Denver is considered a more selective university with an acceptance rate around 70%. However, just as with any university admission, it is not solely about the acceptance rate or your GPA. They will review your whole application, including factors like your extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and your personal essays.
That being said, when it comes to GPA, the average of admitted students tends to be around 3.8. If your GPA is at or near this average, you'll be in a competitive position for admission. Bear in mind what counts more is the rigor of your high school courses - honors, AP, etc.
As for standardized testing, you should know that starting from Fall 2021, the University of Denver adopted a test-optional policy. This means you can choose whether or not to submit SAT or ACT scores with your application. That being said, if your scores are strong, it can still be beneficial to include them.
Lastly, it's always a good idea to familiarize yourself with the school's mission and values. The admission committee will want to see how you align with the school's ethos and what kind of contribution you intend to make to their community.
Hope you found this helpful. Best of luck with your application!
