Question About SAT Dates

Hello guys, I'm trying to plan out my testing schedule, but I'm having trouble finding official SAT test dates a couple years in advance. Any resources or advice on where to find this info... or even when to start taking the SAT?

Sure, I can help with that! The College Board, the organization that administers the SAT, typically releases dates for the SAT test up to a year in advance. You can usually find the dates for the following year around mid to late spring on their official website.

As for when to start taking the SAT, that depends on a few factors. Generally, the spring of your junior year of high school is often a good time to take your first SAT. This allows you to have covered most, if not all, of the relevant material in your classes. It also leaves plenty of time to retake the test in the fall of your senior year if necessary.

However, remember that this timeline can shift based on your personal circumstances. If you're planning on applying to colleges early decision or early action, you might need to take the test earlier. It's also worth considering when you'll have time to prepare for the test, and whether you're juggling any other major commitments, such as AP exams.

The most important thing is to plan a study schedule that gives you plenty of time to prepare, so you feel confident going into the test. Good luck with your test prep!
