Hey everyone, I am starting my preparations for the SAT and I was wondering how much does it actually cost to take the test? Are there any additional costs to be aware of?
As of the 2024-2025 application cycle, the cost to take the digital SAT is $68. This fee covers your registration for the test, as well as four score reports which you can send to colleges.
There are some additional costs that could potentially apply though. If you'd like to send your SAT scores to more than four colleges, you'll have to pay $14 per each additional score report.
There are fee waivers available for students who meet certain income eligibility guidelines set by the College Board. These waivers cover the full cost of the SAT and include additional score reports at no cost.
Also, if you decide to change your test date or test center after you've registered, you may incur a change fee. Lastly, if you register late for your test date, there'll be a late registration fee added.
All of this information and more can be found on the College Board's website, so make sure to check their fee page for any updates on costs.
