What are the SAT Requirements for University of Miami?

Pretty set on aiming for U of Miami. Anyone know the typical SAT score range they're looking for in applicants? Just wanna gauge where I need to be.

University of Miami publishes the middle 50% SAT score for their admitted students, which are students who scored above 25% of applicants but below the top 25%. For the recently admitted class, this range was from 1380 - 1500. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1380, and another 25% of admitted students scored above 1500.

While looking at this range can be helpful in understanding the competitiveness of the school, it’s important to remember that your SAT score is just one factor that admissions committees consider. They also look at grades, coursework, essays, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, and more. As a rule of thumb, if you fall within or above this range, you're academically competitive for University of Miami. If you're below the range, it may be more of a reach.

However, it's key to keep in mind that University of Miami does follow a holistic review process. This means that even if your SAT score is a bit lower than the average, the other aspects of your application can still keep you in the running. Likewise, a high SAT score doesn't guarantee an offer of admission either.

Remember, these are guidelines and not hard-fast rules. Each application is reviewed individually and the decision is not based solely on test scores. However, aiming for a score within this range should make you a competitive applicant, at least in terms of your SAT score.
