What’s a good SAT Score for Texas A&M?

Howdy! I'm really interested in applying to Texas A&M. Any Aggies out here who can help clarify what range of SAT scores I should be aiming for to have a decent shot at getting in?

As of the 2024-2025 application cycle, Texas A&M is test-optional, which means that you don't have to submit your SAT scores in order to be considered for admission. That being said, if you're planning to submit your scores, and want to have a competitive application, the middle 50% range for SAT scores of admitted students at Texas A&M falls between 1140 and 1380.

For your reference, the middle 50% range means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1140, 25% scored above 1380, and the remaining 50% scored somewhere in between those two numbers.

Remember, while standardized test scores are a significant part of many schools' admissions processes, they are still just one piece of the puzzle. Your GPA, course rigor, essays, and extracurriculars will also play meaningful roles in your application.

If you're taking the test multiple times, focus on obtaining the highest score that you can get, so you're well within, or even above, that middle 50% range to increase your chances. That said, remember that Texas A&M is a holistic school, and they'll be looking at many factors in addition to your test score.
