Hi peeps, I'm really trying to pull up my AP Calc BC grade before the AP exam. I think it'll be beneficial to study past exams but I'm not sure of the best way to find them. Could anyone suggest where I can access these? And if you've used them before, how helpful were they in your prep?
Hi there,
Studying past AP exams can indeed be a very effective strategy to prepare for your Calc BC exam. It gives you first-hand experience with the types of questions you might encounter and helps you identify areas where you might need to focus more during your preparation.
Luckily, College Board, the organization that creates and manages all AP exams, provides past AP exams on their website, including Calc BC. The benefit of using these resources is that they are actual exams that were administered in previous years.
With respect to how helpful they are, many students find them to be extremely beneficial. They provide a realistic picture of what to expect on the actual exam, and they are a great way to track your progress throughout your study period. Be sure to time yourself as you complete them to get an accurate measure of your speed.
An additional point to note:
When studying from past exams, make sure to review both the multiple-choice and free-response sections so that you cover all types of questions you might encounter, and, try to pace yourself against the clock as it would be on actual test day.
Best of luck with your exam preparation!
