ACT Score for UCF Acceptance

Hi all, I just got my ACT scores back (yay!) and I'm wondering if it's good enough for UCF. Do you guys know what's an acceptable score range for UCF? Should I consider retaking the test if I'm below that range or focus on other areas of my application? Thank you in advance!

The University of Central Florida (UCF) has a middle 50% ACT range of 26-30, which means that 50% of accepted students have scores within this range. However, remember that being in or above this range doesn't guarantee you admission, but it does indicate that your test score aligns with typically accepted scores at UCF.

Therefore, if your score falls below this range, that doesn't necessarily mean you have no shot of getting in. You could consider retaking the test if you feel confident that you can improve, especially if your score is significantly below the range. Else you might want to concentrate on other parts of your application, like your extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation. Essentially, while your ACT score is an important component of your application, it's just one of many factors UCF considers as part of their comprehensive review process.

To make a more informed decision, take a moment to assess your scores section by section. Which areas could you improve? Are there any sections where you scored significantly lower than others? If yes, then you may benefit from some targeted studying and a retake. However, if your scores are fairly balanced or if you've already taken the test multiple times, you might want to focus your energies elsewhere. Whatever you decide, remember to also invest time in your essays and extracurriculars as they provide the admissions committee a more holistic view of who you are as a candidate and a person.
