Hello all! So, I'm into Marquette for their strong sense of community and academics, but Milwaukee doesn't really click for me. Are there any colleges like Marquette, maybe still Jesuit, but in different parts of the country? Still looking for a similar student to faculty ratio and engagement in community service.
Hi there! It's great that you've identified what you love about Marquette—their sense of community and academic rigor. If you're looking for Jesuit schools with a similar vibe but in different locales, you might want to consider a few options. Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, offers a tight-knit community with a strong service ethic, much like Marquette. Loyola University Chicago could be a good fit if you’re still looking for a city atmosphere, but just not Milwaukee. If you're considering a smaller city, Santa Clara University in California is another Jesuit institution known for its student engagement and service programs. These schools maintain similar Jesuit values with emphasis on education for the whole person, and you'll likely find comparable student to faculty ratios. Best of luck in finding the right fit!
