Uncertain about the 2024 AP Test Schedule

Does anyone have any info on the 2024 AP test schedule? Just curious about when my exams might be. Also, is it too early to start trying to figure out a study schedule?

While I can't provide specific dates for the 2024 AP test schedule, as exact dates tend to be released by College Board a few months prior to the exams (usually around early December), I can give you a general understanding. The Advanced Placement (AP) exams are typically held over two weeks in early May.

To answer your second question, it's never too early to start preparing a study schedule. If you think about it, the sooner you start, the less cramming you'll need to do when the exams approach. Developing a consistent and sustainable study habit early on can enable you to cover the syllabus extensively and revise it numerous times, which will reinforce the concepts and improve retention. You might want to spread out your studying so you can focus on one subject at a time, alternating between subjects each week or each day depending on in which areas you need more reinforcement. Avoid multitasking as it could hamper focus and retention.

In addition, practicing with past AP exams is also an effective way to prepare. It will acquaint you with the exam format and types of questions, as well as give you a sense of the time constraints you’ll be under.

Remember, the key to a good study schedule is consistency and revision. It's better to study a little bit every day than to try to cram everything in at the last minute. The goal is to make the information stick and to be able to understand and apply it, rather than just memorizing it for the test. Good luck!
