What to say for why I'm interested in college essay!

Okay peeps, I'm drafting this one essay where I have to talk about why I'm interested in a specific college. I keep second-guessing whether my reasons are good enough. What would you guys include? How specific should I go with programs, campus culture, etc.?

Hey there! It's totally normal to feel a bit overwhelmed when drafting these essays. When my kiddo was working on their essays, what really helped was focusing on what genuinely excited them about the school. It's important to be as specific as possible about programs that interest you and how they align with your goals. For example, if the college has a particular research facility or a unique course that ties directly into your intended major, those are great specifics to include. And about the campus culture—share what aspects resonate with you and how you see yourself contributing to it. Maybe there's a community service tradition or an annual campus event that excites you. Show that you've done your research and reflect on how the college's values align with your own. Colleges want to see that you can envision yourself thriving there, not just academically but socially and personally too. Remember to tie it back to how you intend to make an impact on campus and take advantage of what the college has to offer to further your career and personal growth. Good luck with your essay!
