Hey everybody, just to clarify, does anyone know how many questions are on each section of the SATs? Thanks for any clarification.
Sure, happy to clarify! Since Spring 2024, when the SAT became fully digital, the structure of the test is as follows:
Reading and Writing: This part is divided into two 32-minute modules and consists of 54 questions in total. This means you will have approximately 71 seconds per question.
Math: This section is also split into two 35-minute modules, where you need to answer 44 questions. Here, you have 96 seconds per question, or a little over a minute and a half per question.
So for the entire test, you will be spending 134 minutes answering a total of 98 questions. This restructuring happened when the digital format was integrated, making the test more streamlined and concise than before. Additionally, you can now use a calculator for both math modules, whereas in the previous format not all sections permitted calculator use.
I hope this clears up your query. All the best with your preparations!
