ACT-SAT Score Equivalent

Hey guys, I need some help figuring out my ACT equivalent score to SAT. Is there a reliable method to do that?

Yes, there definitely is! ACT and College Board had collaborated to create a concordance table that shows the equivalent scores between the SAT and ACT. Each score on both exams generally falls within a range on the other test.

Here's what that might look like: an ACT composite score of 21 roughly corresponds to an SAT score of 1060. If you have a composite ACT score of 27, that would be similar to an SAT score of 1280. And if you've achieved a composite ACT score of 32, that equates approximately to an SAT score of 1450.

Keep in mind, the concordance isn't perfectly linear since the two tests are designed slightly differently but this should give you a rough estimate. Each individual school may interpret your scores a bit differently, but this is a generally accepted conversion method.

Remember, while test scores are an important component of your application, they're not the only factor colleges consider. So while it's smart to know where you stand with your scores, don't forget to dedicate time and effort to the other parts of your application as well.
