Info on Johns Hopkins SAT Requirements?

Hello everyone! I'm planning on applying to Johns Hopkins University, but I'm a little bit in the dark about their SAT requirements. Could anyone shed some light on this? What's the range or average score that they usually accept? Really appreciate any help here.

For the 2024-2025 application cycle, Johns Hopkins University remains test-optional. This means it's completely up to you whether you want to submit your SAT scores as part of your application.

However, if you decide to submit your scores, it's beneficial to know the score range for admitted students so you can determine how competitive your scores are. When looking at previously admitted students, the middle 50% SAT score for the verbal section ranged from 750 to 780, and for the math section, it ranged from 780 to 800.

Bear in mind that these are not 'minimum requirements', but more of a guideline of the kind of scores competitive applicants have. Given that Johns Hopkins is a highly selective school, applicants typically have strong academic profiles.

I would also stress that while your SAT score is an important part of your application, it is not the only component Johns Hopkins considers when making admissions decisions. Your high school courses and grades, essays, and extracurricular activities are all equally important pieces of the puzzle.

So, don't forget to focus on creating a well-rounded application beyond just your SAT scores. Good luck with your application journey!
