GPA requirements for St. John's University

Hi all, so I'm seriously thinking about St. John's University for college. Can anyone shed some light on the GPA requirements there? Do they consider an upward trend in grades if you started off slow in freshman year?

St. John's University is somewhat competitive, and to have a solid chance of getting in, it's advisable to aim for a GPA around 3.4 or above. However, it's important to remember that GPA is just one factor in the decision-making process.

Concerning grade trends, St. John's University, like most colleges, does take note of improvement over the course of your high school career. So, if you had a rocky start in your freshman year but significantly improved in later years, it's likely that will be taken into account.

Maintaining or exceeding this GPA in combination with strong standardized test scores, if you choose to submit them, and a well-rounded application including extracurricular activities, strong letters of recommendation, and compelling essays, will put you in a competitive position for admission. Don't forget to really showcase your "spike" or the area in which you are exceptionally passionate and have excelled in.

Lastly, remember that it's helpful to verify specific admissions criteria directly from St. John's University's website or by contacting their admissions office, as these requirements can sometimes change from year to year.
