What's the required GPA for St. John's University?

Hey all, I'm a junior and St. John's University has always been on my college list. But I'm not exactly sure what GPA they're looking for? Can someone give me an idea of what the typical admitted student's GPA looks like? Would appreciate any info you can provide.

St. John's University in New York has a somewhat competitive admissions process. Typically, successful students at St. John's have GPAs that are above average, around a 3.5 on a 4.0 unweighted scale. However, keep in mind that the admissions process is more than just one's GPA.

While a strong GPA does help to show you can handle challenging coursework, other factors such as your course rigor, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and personal essays also significantly contribute to your application. Colleges like St. John's often look for well-rounded students who have demonstrated a commitment to their communities and personal growth, alongside their strong academics.

So in short, while a GPA around a 3.5 seems to be typical for admitted students, other aspects of your application are just as important. Remember, a lower GPA does not disqualify you, because the school examines each application holistically. That means they consider all parts of your application to make an admission decision.
