What's the accepted GPA for UCLA?

Hey y'all! UCLA is one of my dream schools, and I'm just a nervous junior trying to figure it all out. I'd love to know the average accepted GPA so I can evaluate where I stand.

UCLA is one of the most competitive schools in the University of California system, attracting excellent students from around the globe. The average GPA of accepted students at UCLA is quite high—hovering around the following ranges:

Weighted GPA: 4.37-4.74

Unweighted GPA: 3.95-4.00

Remember, these are averages and many students with GPAs below these ranges are also admitted, just as students with higher GPAs are sometimes not admitted. It's not just about the GPA, your overall academic rigor in terms of course load, as well as other factors like your extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendations also play a substantial role.

One recommendation I can provide is to include as many rigorous classes as you can handle in your schedule (AP, IB, honors, etc.). Higher-weighted classes can elevate your GPA above a 4.0 on a weighted scale and can show UCLA that you're capable of handling a challenging course load.

Keep putting your best foot forward in your academics, and make sure to highlight your passions and achievements outside the classroom too! Remember, even if your GPA is not exactly at the current UCLA average, there are plenty of other factors that come into play.
