Status of SAT Scores

Hey, a bit stressed here... I took my SATs a while ago and I haven't gotten any update on my scores yet. Does it usually take this long or might there be a problem? How do I even know if my SAT scores are out yet?

Hey! It completely makes sense if you're feeling anxious while waiting for your SAT scores. These scores typically get released starting 10 to 13 days after your test date. If you tested on a Saturday, scores will start to be released on the second Friday after your test. But you might not get your score that day as scores are released in batches. So, if you don't see your score the day it's supposed to come out, don't worry. Just keep checking back.

Now, how to check your scores? These scores will be directly sent to your College Board account. So, to check whether your score is out, you would have to log in to your College Board account. Once your scores are available, it should show up on your dashboard when logged in.

In terms of possible score delays, a number of factors could cause this. For starters, you might have tested in school, in which case, your scores come out about 10 days after the school receives the answer sheets. Also, if you've availed of an accommodation (like Braille or large-print exams), it might take longer for your test scores to be out.

If you think it's taking unusually long, I'd recommend reaching out to College Board's customer service for assistance. They can provide additional information and guidance about your specific circumstance.

Hope this eases your tension! Remember, your score is only one part of your application and even while you're waiting, there's plenty else you can be working on. Good luck!
