Hi everyone. Right now, I’m seriously considering applying to Drexel University. I couldn't find any clear info about their SAT requirements, though. Can someone give me a little insight on that? Thanks in advance!
For the 2024-2025 application cycle, Drexel University is test-optional. This means submission of SAT scores is not required, although you can still choose to submit your scores if you believe they reflect your academic ability. The goal of their test-optional policy is to allow students to demonstrate their academic strengths in ways other than standardized testing. You can learn more about test-optional policies and how to make the decision about whether to submit right here, in our deep dive: https://blog.collegevine.com/does-test-optional-mean-test-optional/.
However, if you do choose to submit your SAT scores, it might be helpful to know what scores were typical for admitted students in the past. While Drexel doesn’t publish an exact ‘requirement,' prior to going test-optional, the middle 50% SAT score for admitted students was typically around 1240-1410. If your score falls in or above this range, you may consider submitting it. But again, remember that you are not obligated to, and Drexel will place greater emphasis on your GPA, coursework, and extracurricular activities.
