ACT Score for Columbia University

Prospective Columbia Uni applicant here, earnestly seeking clarity on their ACT score range. What's the typical ACT score for admitted students? I've got a decent score, but knowing their ballpark range would help alleviate some stress for sure.

For Columbia University, a competitive ACT score typically falls within the range of 34 to 35, as Columbia is a highly selective university. This doesn't mean a perfect 36 is the only ticket to admission. In fact, students with scores slightly below this range have also received acceptance letters.

However, keep in mind, Columbia doesn't look solely at your ACT score when evaluating your applicability. They also consider other factors such as your GPA, course rigor, essays, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, and any special talents or experiences you might bring to campus.

Furthermore, for the 2024-2025 application cycle, Columbia remains test-optional, meaning they won't penalize you if you choose not to submit test scores. This is an option if your score is below their range or if you feel your application is strong in other areas.

Good luck with your application process!
