Hey friends, I hope ya'll are doing good. I've been peeking at my dream schools and Vassar seems like an excellent fit for me. But, I'm kinda lost on what GPA they are looking for. I'm an earnest student with a solid GPA, but I don't know how competitive it is. Can anyone share some insight on what GPA is competitive for Vassar admissions?
Hello! It seems like you've found a school that you're really excited about. When it comes to GPA, Vassar College is quite competitive. Most accepted students have GPAs in the "B+ to A" range.
However, remember that GPA is not the only factor Vassar will consider. They look at the rigor of your courses (Advanced Placement, IB, Dual Enrollment, and High Honors when available), the trend in your grades (hopefully upward), and they will review all of this in the context of your high school. They are interested in students who challenge themselves academically.
Don't forget about the other parts of your application either. Vassar also places a strong emphasis on the essays, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation.
Make sure you're putting in effort across all these areas to create the strongest application possible. Good luck!
