SAT Math Section Breakdown

Hey! Trying to get my math score up on the SAT. How many questions am I looking at for math specifically? Just trying to assess how to split my time efficiently. Any help would be great!

Absolutely, happy to help you strategize! On the digital SAT, the Math section consists of two 35-minute modules, each with a total of 22 math problems. That means you will have to go through 44 math questions in total.

Furthermore, each question comes with about 96 seconds. In other words, you will have a little over a minute and a half per question. You should practice pacing yourself to ensure you solve the problems within this allotted time.

Another change to note is that there is no longer a no-calculator section on the digital SAT. For both of your math modules, you'll be able to use a calculator. This should greatly assist on more complex problems, but remember that it's vital to understand the underlying math concepts as not every question will be solvable just with a calculator.

Strategizing your time effectively can make a real difference, so best of luck with your preparations! Knock it out of the park!
