What GPA should I aim for Georgia State University?

Hi guys, I'm working on my college list and Georgia State University is on it, but I'm not sure where my GPA should sit. Any insights, perhaps from current students or recent applicants?

While your GPA is definitely an important part of your application, it's not the only factor Georgia State University takes into account. I would suggest you aim for around a 3.5 GPA or higher to be competitive. If you are coming from a high school with a rigorous academic reputation, admissions may give you a bit more leeway.

According to CollegeVine's data, the average high school GPA of Georgia State's admitted students sits at about 3.6. Keep in mind, this number is an average, so there are certainly students above and below this mark who got accepted.

Remember to balance your focus on GPA with emphasis on other parts of your application, like your SAT/ ACT scores, personal essay, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, and any work experience or internships. All of these elements will be evaluated comprehensively by Georgia State while making a decision.
