Joining the Military Straight out of High School?

So, I've been seriously considering this route for a while now and I just want some more advice. What do I need to know about joining the military directly after high school? What are the pros and cons? Anyone else thinking the same or have some insights to share? Thanks in advance!

The Cons:

On the other hand, military life is not for everyone. It requires a substantial commitment, often at least four years, during which personal freedom can be limited. Adapting to military rules, hierarchy, and discipline can be tough, especially for those straight out of high school. You also have to consider the possibility of deployment and the physical and mental health risks associated with service during periods of conflict.

Is it the right choice?
