Curious about demographics at Texas A&M University

Hello everyone, was doing some research about TAMU and I couldn't find detailed info on the student demographics over there. Does anyone have insight on the demographics, especially diversity at TAMU?

Texas A&M University, often acknowledged as one of the most diverse public schools within Texas, enrolls students from varied backgrounds. However, as per the most recent data available, about 54.1% of the student body is White, 25.4% Hispanic, 12.6% Asian, 3.8% multiracial, and 2.3% African American. The remaining 1.8% includes students from multiple races, Native American students, Hawaiian or Pacific Islander students, and international students.

It's also pertinent to understand that the term 'diversity' extends beyond ethnicity. But TAMU offers considerable diversity in relation to students' geographical origins, economic backgrounds, and varied interests — all contributing to the rich experience of the Aggie community.

While colleges strive to build diverse classes, remember that the best college for you isn't about demographic percentages, it's about where you feel you can thrive both academically and personally.

For more personalized information about the student body mix at TAMU or other universities, you might want to reach out directly to the university admissions officer or, if possible, take a tour or join online virtual tours/events. This can give you a deeper understanding of the school's community and culture as you make your college decision.
