Biggest Colleges in Texas. Which ones top the list?

Hey y’all, I'm in my junior year and I’m starting to look at colleges. I'm from Texas and I'm considering both in-state and out-of-state options. But for in-state, what are some of the biggest universities here? Any insights would be amazing!

Texas is home to several large universities that have a lot to offer in terms of academic opportunities, campus life, and spirit. In terms of student population, here are several of the biggest universities in Texas:

1. Texas A&M University in College Station: This university's main campus is known for its enormous student body, numbering over 70,000 students. A&M, as it's often known, is also famous for its marching band and spirited football games.

2. The University of Texas at Austin: Another university with a very large student population, UT Austin has over 50,000 students. This university is recognized not only for its size but also for its strong academic programs, particularly in law, business, and engineering.

3. The University of Houston: Located in one of Texas' largest cities, University of Houston is home to about 47,000 students. They have a very diverse student population and strong programs in business, hotel and restaurant management, and engineering.

4. The University of North Texas in Denton: A key feature of UNT is its College of Music, which is considered one of the best in the country. Their student population stands around 41,000.

5. Texas State University in San Marcos: This university is home to around 38,000 students. TSU has a beautiful campus, situated near a river, and it's known for its communications program.

Remember, while a large school population can mean more course offerings, larger class sizes, and a vibrant campus life, a smaller school might offer more personalized attention and smaller class sizes. It really depends on what you're looking for in a college experience. Good luck with your search!
