Need help calculating a different grading scale

Hello everyone, one of my teachers uses a 36-point grading scale and I got a 32. I'm a bit confused on how to convert this to a percentage, I know it's an essential step in calculating my GPA. Any guidance would be fantastic!

Converting a 36-point grading scale to a percentage is quite straight forward. All you need to do is divide your score by the total points and then multiply by 100.

So in your case, you divide 32 (your obtained score) by 36 (total possible score). You then take that result and multiply by 100 to get a percentage.

This is the calculation:

(32 / 36) 100 = 88.89%

So, your score of 32 on a 36-point scale equates to roughly an 88.89% on a 100-point scale. This would typically fall under a B+ in most schools, but grading scales can vary, so you might want to check with your school to see how they convert percentages into letter grades.
