Any specific advice on New Jersey military high schools for girls?

Hey guys! So, I've been exploring the idea of attending a military high school in New Jersey geared towards girls. Can anyone share their experiences? How's the curriculum, how's the student life, and how well-prepared do graduates typically feel for life post-high-school?

From what I understand, there aren't military high schools exclusively for girls in New Jersey. However, there are co-ed military institutions like the Marine Academy of Science and Technology, part of the Monmouth County Vocational School District.

This academy has a rigorous curriculum with a focus on marine sciences and technologies. It's designed to prepare students for careers in their chosen fields right after graduating, while offering the traditional perks of attending a military-based institution. For example, students are expected to embody the values of honor, courage, and commitment, both in their academic and their personal lives.

Bear in mind that a military school experience varies greatly. Many students report gaining a stronger sense of discipline, structure, and leadership skills. Daily routines are usually more structured compared to ordinary high schools, and there's an emphasis on character development along with rigor in academics.

After graduation, many students from military schools say they feel well-prepared for their next steps, whether it be college, the workforce, or the military itself. One reason for this is that these schools often have strong support systems to guide students to their post-graduation plans, either through robust college counseling or career tracks.

Make sure to do your own research, too. Tour the facilities, talk to students, teachers, and alumni, if possible. Seeing for yourself will give you a feel for the environment and whether you believe it would be a good fit for you. Good luck!
