Military Style Schools for High Schoolers

Hey y'all, I've been looking into military-style schools for high school students. Has anyone here attended one, and if so, could you share your experiences?

Military-style schools for high school students, often called military academies or military schools, can provide some unique experiences. They bring a degree of discipline, structure, and camaraderie which can be appealing to many students. There are many such institutions across the U.S., with a few notable ones like the Virginia Military Institute or the New York Military Academy.

The most distinctive element of these schools is their regimented lifestyle, which may instill time-management, discipline, respect, and teamwork. In a military school, students often participate in JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) or similar programs. This can provide leadership training and a foundation for potential future military service, if that's a path you're considering.
