Military High Schools for Girls in California

Hello! I'm a high school junior from California. I'm curious about military careers, hence, I'd like to explore the possibility of attending a military high school. Do we have any that are specifically for girls in California?

Hello there! To begin with, it's great that you're showing interest in the field of military service, but it's important to clarify that military high schools are typically co-ed. There are no military high schools, to my knowledge, that only accept females in California or in any other state.

However, that doesn't mean you can't explore military careers through an all-girls high school. All-girls high schools might offer clubs or activities related to service, which could help expose you to various aspects of military life and leadership.

Apart from this, in California, the California Military Institute (CMI) is one renowned co-ed high school option. CMI caters largely to students interested in pursuing a military career, providing a structured environment with an emphasis on character-building and leadership.

Another alternative to consider is Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) offered at many co-ed public high schools. JROTC is a program sponsored by the United States Armed Forces in high schools across the country, and it aims to develop students' character and the values of citizenship, service to the community, and personal responsibility.

Hope this helps with your consideration! Just remember, the focus should not be solely on the end goal of a military career but also on encompassing a broad set of skills and experiences throughout your high school journey. Career paths often change and being well-rounded and adaptable will always serve you well.
