Marine Military Police: What's the Deployment Like?

Hey everyone, I've been contemplating a path in the military after graduation and the role of Marine Military Police caught my eye. I'd appreciate it if I could get some insight on their deployment routines. Like, is it frequent?

As a Marine Military Police officer, your deployment routine may vary quite a bit depending on the current needs of the military, your specific unit, and global events. Speaking generally, deployments can occur every 18 to 36 months for anywhere from 6 to 12 months at a time. However, it's really contingent on various factors.

Regarding frequency: at times of peace, it's possible that you might not be deployed overseas at all. However, if there’s active engagement, you can expect this to change. It's common for servicemen/women to be deployed multiple times over their career. For instance, in major conflicts of the past few decades, it was not out of the ordinary for individuals to have multiple deployment tours.
