Deployment while attending a Military Academy?

Hi everyone, quick question here. Do individuals attending a military academy such as West Point face the possibility of being deployed while studying? I am looking into this path and this just crossed my mind.

When you attend a military academy like West Point, you're primarily a student. Typically, you will not be deployed while studying. The primary purpose of these institutions is to equip you with the right educational foundation and military training. Cadets, as students are known, study a variety of subjects, train in military tactics, participate in physical education classes, and engage in leadership development programs which is why deployment during your time there is highly unlikely.

That being said, upon graduation, you are typically required to serve in the military for a certain number of years. This period of service, depending on global circumstances and your specific assignment, might include deployment.

This doesn't mean the possibility of deployment isn't serious - it's crucial to understand the commitment and potential consequences of choosing this route before enrolling. It's also important to note that military academies prepare students much more than academic subjects; you're also taught valuable life skills such as discipline, leadership, and teamwork.
