Dallas Baptist University Tuition - Let's Talk Numbers

Hey everyone, been considering Dallas Baptist University recently, but I can't find concrete info on their tuition. Does anyone know what the reality of cost is for an undergrad at Dallas Baptist University? Is there a big difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition? Any info about their financial aid or scholarship opportunities would be super beneficial too.

Dallas Baptist University (DBU) is a private institution, so unlike public universities, the tuition is the same for both in-state and out-of-state students. As of the 2024-2025 academic year, DBU's tuition is approximately $38,340 per year for full time enrolled students taking between 12-18 hours per semester.

In terms of financial aid, DBU does a good job. About 90% of their students receive some form of it, which comes in the form of grants, scholarships, loans, or work-study opportunities. One notable scholarship is their Presidential Scholar Award, which is a competitive award that covers full tuition for academically impressive students.

Also, remember to fill out your FAFSA as soon as possible. DBU does meet a good portion of a student's demonstrated financial need, and filling out your FAFSA accurately and early can put you in a better position to receive need-based assistance.

Also worth noting, DBU offers a good number of departmental scholarships based on your intended major, so make sure to explore those as well. Don’t forget to check out external scholarships too, as these can help reduce your overall cost. Lastly, DBU has a merit-based scholarship program which doesn't require a separate application - you will be automatically considered for these awards when you apply for admission.

Remember, the sticker price isn't necessarily what you would be paying. Many students find that with a combination of merit scholarships and need-based financial aid, the cost can be significantly reduced.
