Geographical inquiries: U of Michigan?

I'm considering applying to University of Michigan but I've been a bit confused about its location. Can someone enlighten me on the exact whereabouts of U of Michigan?

The University of Michigan's main campus is located in the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ann Arbor is a vibrant college town, known for its cultural, arts, and sporting events. The city itself is located in the southeastern part of Michigan, about 45 miles west of Detroit. Its proximity to Detroit allows for larger city experiences within reach, such as professional sports games or big-name concerts, while still maintaining a manageable, less overwhelming size for a college town. The Detroit Metropolitan Airport is also less than an hour's drive away, making travel more convenient for out-of-state or international students.

Geographically, Ann Arbor offers a mix of urban and natural spaces. There are plenty of parks, rivers, and outdoor areas for recreation, along with city amenities like restaurants, shops, and a thriving arts and music scene. This can be a great balance for students who value both natural beauty and city conveniences.

Keep in mind though, Ann Arbor does experience the full range of all four seasons, with cold, snowy winters and warm, sunny summers. It can provide a very different experience depending on where you're coming from and your climate preferences. But regardless of the weather, many students find the campus and city to be an inviting, energetic place to live and study.
