What GPA do I need to get into UNF?

I hope someone can answer my question! I am a rising junior and UNF (University of North Florida) is one of my top choices. However, I am a little bit stressed because I can't find a clear answer about what the GPA admission requirements are. Can anyone help me out?

The University of North Florida, also known as UNF, traditionally uses a holistic approach for admissions, meaning they consider more than just GPAs and test scores. However, GPA does play a significant role.

Regarding GPA requirements, the academic profile of admitted students can provide some clues. As of recent admissions cycles, the middle 50% of admitted students at UNF had a high school GPA between 3.62 and 3.96. So, most admitted students generally had a weighted GPA in that range. However, remember this is the middle 50%, which means 25% of admitted students fell below this range, and 25% were above.

Aside from GPA, UNF looks at other parts of your application such as course rigor (AP, IB, Honors, Dual Enrollment courses), your extracurricular activities, and potentially your essays, among other things.

But keep in mind, a lower GPA doesn’t automatically mean you’re out of the running. UNF considers all aspects of your application and your personal story. So, a high involvement in extracurricular activities, taking challenging courses, or overcoming significant personal obstacles also come into play.

Remember, you don't need to have a perfect GPA to get into UNF. Work on maintaining a competitive GPA, but also focus on other parts of your application. It's all about balance and showing what you're capable of!
