What's Tufts' average SAT score?

Hey guys, I'm feeling a bit stressed about the admissions process. Really hoping to get into Tufts but unsure whether my SAT score of 1380 is competitive enough. It'd be great if anyone has info on the average SAT score for Tufts. Thanks.

Hey there! Understandably, the college admissions process can feel overwhelming. Regarding Tufts University, the middle 50% SAT scores for admitted students typically range from around 1450 to 1540. This means that about 25% of admitted students scored below 1450, and about 25% scored above 1540.

That being said, your SAT score of 1380 falls just below this middle 50% range. While test scores are one aspect of your application, remember that Tufts (like many schools) adopts a holistic review approach, considering other aspects of your application such as your GPA, course rigor, extracurriculars, essays, and letters of recommendation. So, while improving your SAT score could potentially boost your application, a score of 1380 isn't a deal-breaker.

Also, Tufts University remains test-optional for the 2024-2025 application cycle, meaning submitting SAT scores is not mandatory. You can choose to submit your scores if you feel they accurately represent your academic abilities.

Hang in there! You're doing everything you can during this challenging process. Best of luck with your application to Tufts!
