Christian Colleges in Virginia

Hi everyone, I'm starting to think about colleges and I'm really interested in Christian universities. I've got family in Virginia, so it would be great to be close. Can you recommend good Christian based universities in Virginia?

Sure, Virginia is home to several Christian universities that offer excellent academic programs. Let's start with Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. It's one of the largest Christian universities in the world, with a strong reputation for integrating faith and learning. Liberty offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as Business, Nursing, Education, and Engineering. There's also a robust Online and Distance Learning program.

Regent University in Virginia Beach is another option. Established by Pat Robertson, it offers a Christian education with over 135 areas of study. Its College of Arts & Sciences, for example, offers degrees in Communication, Psychology, and Religious Studies among others. Regent also has a Law School and a School of Divinity.

Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg also comes to mind. It's a smaller, liberal arts university with Mennonite roots and offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees with a focus on service, peace, and justice.

Lastly, Virginia Wesleyan University in Norfolk is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It offers a variety of traditional undergraduate majors, along with several pre-professional, graduate, and online programs.

It's important that you look into each school's belief system, community, and curriculum to ensure they align with your personal values and goals, as each Christian school incorporates their faith into their programs in their unique way. You might find it useful to visit the campuses and talk to current students and faculty to get a feel for the community at these schools.
