What are the GPA requirements for Georgia Tech?

Hey guys, I've been considering Georgia Tech as my dream school for a while now. It's got everything I'm looking for in a college. But, I've heard they've got some pretty high standards when it comes to grades. Does anyone have a clue about what GPA I should be aiming for? Any help is much appreciated!

The Georgia Institute of Technology, commonly known as Georgia Tech, is indeed known for its high academic standards, considering it is one of the top public universities in the United States. The minimum GPA requirement is 3.3 on a 4.0 grade scale for College of Computing and College of Engineering applicants. The minimum GPA requirement is 3.0 on a 4.0 grade scale for College of Design, College of Sciences, Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, and Scheller College of Business applicants. The average GPA for the 2024 class was 3.7.

While GPA is an important factor, the admissions office reviews applications holistically. This means they not only look at your grades but also other aspects such as your application essays, recommendation letters, extracurricular activities, and SAT or ACT scores.

While striving for the highest GPA possible is ideal, remember that Georgia Tech also values students who challenge themselves with rigorous courses, so consider enrolling in AP, IB, and/or honors courses if available at your school. Differentiating yourself through unique extracurricular activities, leadership roles, and compelling essays may also enhance your chances of acceptance. Good luck, believe in yourself, and keep up your hard work!
