GPA required for University of Alabama?

Guys, I'm thinking about applying to the University of Alabama. My GPA, to be honest, is not super high. Does anybody know what kind of GPA they typically look for in applicants? Appreciate any responses!

The University of Alabama evaluates applicants based on a variety of factors, and while GPA is one of them, it's not the only consideration. However, for a general idea, the average GPA for admitted first-year students at the University of Alabama historically falls between 3.66 and 4.03 on a 4.0 scale.

This doesn't mean that if your GPA is below this range you won't get in. Alongside your GPA, they'll also consider other aspects of your application like the rigor of your coursework, your extracurricular activities, and possibly SAT/ACT scores (though this requirement can vary). So, even if your GPA isn’t quite within their average range, demonstrating passion and commitment in other areas could definitely make you a competitive candidate.

Remember to make the best of your application elements - essays, letters of recommendation, extracurricular involvement - to showcase your strengths and make a compelling argument for your admission. The more rounded your application, the better your chances.

To estimate your chances of admission, consider using CollegeVine's free admissions calculator: https://www.collegevine.com/admissions-calculator. The calculator uses your data, and the data of University of Alabama admitted students, to give you personalized and accurate odds of admission.

Good luck with your application! You're taking a big step, and it's exciting to see where the process will lead.
