Binghamton vs Vermont - help in decision

Hello! I got an admission invitation from both Binghamton and Vermont, and I find it really tough to decide because both are great schools. Anyone out there in come with any comparisons considering academics, student life, faculty support?

It's true that both Binghamton University and the University of Vermont are great institutions, but they offer somewhat different experiences.

In terms of academics, both institutions are respected for their comprehensive range of programs. Binghamton is known for its strong programs in business, engineering, and nursing. On the other hand, Vermont is particularly noted for its strength in environmental science, health, and business as well.

As for faculty support, both schools tend to have smaller class sizes which usually allows for a closer relationship with professors and more individual attention.

When it comes to student life, there are some distinct differences. Binghamton is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and has a suburban setting in a moderately sized city. It has over 200 clubs and organizations that students can participate in, ranging from academic clubs, volunteer organizations, to sports clubs and more.

The University of Vermont, on the other hand, is located in Burlington, which is one of the most vibrant small cities in the country. There is a lot to do in terms of outdoor activities, dining, and exploring the arts scene. The University itself offers nearly 200 student clubs and organizations, similar to Binghamton.

I recommend considering what kind of setting you prefer, what majors or programs you're interested in, and what kind of student life fits you best. It may be helpful to make a list of pros and cons for both schools. This could include factors like cost, distance from home, available extracurriculars, and specific academic programs.

Remember, this is ultimately your decision, so think about what’s best for you and what will make you happiest.
