Georgia Tech applicants, what's the GPA?

Georgia Tech is on my radar, but I'm wondering about the GPA needed for admission. Anyone have an idea? I'd like to evaluate my chances.

Georgia Tech is indeed a highly competitive institution and generally attracts high-achieving students. When looking at GPA, successful Georgia Tech applicants typically have high school GPAs in the range of 3.7-4.0 on a weighted 4.0 scale. This places them in the top 10% of their high school class.

However, keep in mind that the admissions committee also considers the rigor of your course load. Strong performance in challenging courses, such as AP or IB, can signal your readiness for the rigor of a Georgia Tech education.

Remember, GPA is just one facet of your application. Other aspects including extracurricular involvement, recommendation letters, essay quality, and SAT/ACT scores are also crucial components of your application. To truly gauge your chances, consider reviewing these elements holistically. This will give a more comprehensive picture of your odds.

Lastly, I would recommend using CollegeVine’s chancing engine for a more personalized and accurate evaluation. It takes into account more than grades, such as your extracurricular activities and test scores. Best of luck with your application!
