Help with Grading? Got 18 out of 24

I've just got a grading of 18 out of 24 in my history essay. I'm pretty lost in terms of what my grade would be in a typical A-F system. Anyone that can give me a professional roundabout here?

Hello! In a traditional A-F grading system, grades are often calculated as percentages. While the exact scale might vary from school to school, generally, you can convert your grade on a 0-24 scale to a 0-100 scale, then use this to determine your corresponding A-F grade.

To convert your score of 18 out of 24 to a percentage, divide 18 by 24 and then multiply by 100. Doing this, you get approximately 75 percent.

In a typical grading scale, this might align with a C. However, please do keep in mind, grading scales can vary significantly among different institutions. It could be helpful to ask your professor or look up your school's specific grading scale for a more accurate interpretation.

When it comes to improving your grade, you may want to discuss your essay with your instructor to understand where you can make improvements. You could look at the feedback provided, or seek out help in terms of structuring your responses or refining your arguments.

Remember, it's a learning curve and every opportunity like this is a chance to develop and grow. Keep at it!
