Will a 1450 SAT score be competitive for Northeastern?

Hello everyone! I just got my SAT scores, ended up with a 1450. I'm pretty happy but can't help worried about whether it'll be sufficient for a school like Northeastern. Can anyone tell me what the average SAT score is for that school?

Hello! A 1450 SAT score is indeed a strong score and it could be competitive for Northeastern University. As per the last available data, the 25th percentile SAT score at Northeastern was around 1480 and the 75th percentile was around 1540. This means that a score of 1450 would place you just below the 25th percentile, making you a relatively competitive applicant, at least in terms of the SAT score.

However, keep in mind that standardized test scores are just one part of your application. Northeastern, like many schools, will also consider your GPA, essays, letters of recommendation, and extracurricular activities. They will look at your application holistically, so make sure every part is as strong as it can be. You can use CollegeVine's chancing calculator to check out how different parts of your profile stack up at an intensely competitive school like Northeastern: https://www.collegevine.com/admissions-calculator.

Hope this helps!
