What are the GPA requirements for Texas A&M?

Hey y'all, junior here planning for college. Texas A&M is high on my list and I was hoping someone might know what GPA they typically require? It's a pretty solid school, so I'm thinking you might need quite a high GPA.

Hello there! Texas A&M University, like many universities, does not have an official minimum GPA requirement for application, but the academic profile of the admitted students provides some insight.

When looking at previously admitted students, they typically have at least a 3.55 GPA on a 4.0 scale, with many students having a GPA up in the high 3s or even a 4.0. In fact, their middle 50% of accepted students typically falls in the 3.55 - 3.99 range.

Regardless, don't let this discourage you if your GPA is not quite in that range. Texas A&M takes a holistic approach to admissions. This means they also consider things like test scores (if provided), essays, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, and work experience when making admissions decisions.

So, a lower GPA could potentially be balanced out by strong elements in other areas of your application. Good luck with your future application!
