Hello everyone, I'm starting to look at colleges and Cal State Fullerton is on the top of my list. Do you guys know what kind of GPA is really required for getting accepted there?
Cal State Fullerton, like all other schools in the Cal State system, has a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 for California residents and 3.0 for out-of-state and international students. However, these are just the minimum thresholds and actually being admitted usually requires a higher GPA.
Looking at the latest data, the average GPA of incoming freshmen at Cal State Fullerton is reported to be somewhere between 3.4 and 4.7. Remember, however, that this is an average, so some admitted students had lower GPAs, and some had higher.
In addition to GPA, Cal State Fullerton will also look at other parts of your application, such as your high school course rigor and any notable extracurricular activities you might have participated in. But keep in mind that CSU Fullerton, like all CSU schools, does not require essays or letters of recommendation as part of their admissions process.
So while GPA is important, it's not the only thing admissions officers will be looking at. Good luck with your application process!
