Wondering about Purdue University's GPA requirement

So I've been eyeing Purdue University for a while now and I'm curious about their GPA requirement. I'm not sure where I stand as of now. Does anyone know what GPA they're usually looking for?

Purdue University doesn't explicitly state a minimum GPA requirement for admission. However, the university is quite competitive and the average high school GPA of admitted students is typically around 3.8 according to the university's data.

Despite this average, Purdue's admissions process is holistic, which means the admissions officers look at more than just your GPA. Other factors such as your course rigor, SAT/ACT scores (for the 2024-2025 admission cycle Purdue requires test scores), extracurricular involvement, and personal essays also play important roles in their decision-making process.

For example, if your GPA is a little bit lower than the average, but you've taken numerous AP or IB courses and performed well in them, or if you have a very strong extracurricular profile, that might make up for the shortfall. Every application is evaluated on an individual basis, with multiple factors taken into consideration.

In summary, while GPA is an essential component of your application, it's also important to focus on other aspects of your application as well.
