Question Regarding UCLA Out-of-State Tuition

Howdy fellow students! I'm thinking about applying to UCLA but being out-of-state has me a bit concerned about tuition. Could someone who's been through the process explain how the out-of-state tuition works there?

Hi there! Your concerns about out-of-state tuition are valid, as it can indeed be costly. For non-residents at UCLA, there's an additional Nonresident Supplemental Tuition fee on top of the regular tuition. The tuition is the same for all students, but out-of-state U.S. residents and international students must pay this extra fee.

Remember, financial aid and scholarships can also help offset the costs. UCLA offers both need-based and merit scholarships. Take advantage of the net price calculator on UCLA's Financial Aid and Scholarships website to get a sense of what costs you may incur after accounting for any financial aid you may be eligible for.

Just keep in mind that even though the out-of-state tuition can be daunting, many students find that the benefits they gain from their college experience make the investment worthwhile. Best of luck with your decision process!
