Just out of curiosity, does anyone know which military branch is the largest? I’ve heard Army and Navy, but I'm not sure which one it is.
As of the most recent data, the largest branch of the U.S. military in terms of active duty members is the Army. This is followed in size by the Navy, but the Army often tops the list because it encompasses so many different sections and sub-branches. Keep in mind, these figures can fluctuate due to recruitment levels, demand, and changes to the military itself. The Air Force and Marine Corps are also sizeable branches, but they typically have fewer active duty members than the Army and Navy. It also might be interesting to remember that the official sequence of precedence among the U.S. Armed Forces goes Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
