SoCal Private Colleges - Thoughts?

Hey folks! I'm a Cali girl hoping to stay local for college. What are some of the best private colleges in Southern California that I should look into?

There's a wide variety of excellent private colleges to consider in Southern California, each with its unique strengths.

1. University of Southern California (USC): USC is a highly reputable and diverse institution situated in Los Angeles. It's known for programs in business (Marshall School of Business), Cinematic Arts, and Engineering (Viterbi School).

2. Pomona College: This is one of the top-ranked liberal arts colleges in the nation. Part of the Claremont Colleges consortium, students at Pomona can take courses at the other four colleges (Claremont McKenna, Scripps, Pitzer, and Harvey Mudd) too.

3. Harvey Mudd College: Also part of the Claremont system, Harvey Mudd is known for its rigorous STEM-focused programs. Grads are often among those with the highest starting salaries in the country.

4. Loyola Marymount University: LMU, located in Los Angeles, is a Jesuit institution known for its programs in film and television, business, and liberal arts.

5. Pepperdine University: In Malibu, Pepperdine has strong programs in business and law, and the campus boasts beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean.

6. Claremont McKenna College: This college is recognized for its focused programs in government, economics, and international relations.

Remember to look into each college's culture, location, size, programs, and financial aid packages to make sure it's a good fit for you.
