What colleges have the highest acceptance rates?

Rising junior here, just trying to start planning early! I'm looking for some 'safety' schools to consider and I thought exploring those with the highest acceptance rates would be a good place to start. Any idea which colleges these might be?

Totally understand where you're coming from! Applying to colleges with high acceptance rates can be a strategic move when building out your list of safety schools.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that while a high acceptance rate can indicate a greater chance of admission, it doesn't necessarily mean the school is a good fit for you academically or culturally. You'll still want to consider factors like location, size, offered programs of study, campus community, extracurricular activities, etc.

That being said, here's a list of a few schools known for their high acceptance rates:

1. University of Pikeville in Pikeville, KY, nearly 100%

2. Wayne State College in Wayne, NE, about 100%

3. Wilmington University in New Castle, DE, close to 100%

4. Utah Valley University in Orem, UT, about 100%

5. Dakota State University in Madison, SD, about 97%

Many community colleges and online universities also often have very high acceptance rates, which may be worth exploring if they align with your career and educational goals.

It's always a good idea to conduct some research of your own as things can change from year to year, but this should give you a good starting point. Happy college hunting!
